I wonder if anyone can suggest good fabric stores in the East Bay.
I'm looking for upholstery fabric.

I've been to

Discount Fabrics
Stone Mountain and Daughters
Jo-Annes

and

Poppy's is gone.

Any suggestions?

Lisa

I don't know where you live but if you don't mind a drive there is Hancock
Fabrics in Hayward and San Jose. You coudl also try Britex and Mendel's in
SF, if they are still open, it's been a while since I shopped either but I'm
pretty sure Britex is still in Union Square/Financial District.

We *thought* we were going to Britex today, but as we drove by SFMOMA,
we realized it was the last day for the Joseph Cornell show, and that
I would have a crying fit of we didn't change our plans.

I think Poppy Fabrics has morphed into Piedmont Fabrics, in case
anyone cares.

Thanks for the advice. If I find nice enough upholstery fabric, I'll
invite you all over to sit on our couch!
